Become a Guardian
Built for businesses that already work.
Guardians are cafés, hotels, shops, and other local businesses that host bag storage on behalf of The Bag Hotel. If you already have foot traffic and a secure space, you're most of the way there.
Earn from the space you already have.
Guardians keep 70% of every booking made at their location. There are no setup fees, no monthly charges, and no minimum booking requirements. Your earnings are paid out regularly and you'll receive a regular statement showing every booking and payment.
Founding Guardian — 80/20 commission, locked in for life.
Businesses that register interest now are first in line for Founding Guardian status. Founding Guardians earn 80% of every booking — vs the standard 70% — and that rate is permanent. No renegotiation, no expiry.

Who can become a Guardian.
To become a Guardian your business needs a physical location with regular opening hours, a secure area to hold bags (a back room, a locked cupboard, or equivalent), a staff member able to handle drop-offs and pickups, and a willingness to treat every traveler's belongings with care. Most cafés, hotels, hostels, shops, and co-working spaces qualify. If you're not sure, apply anyway — we'll let you know.
What businesses ask first.
How much work is involved for my staff?
Very little. Most drop-offs take under two minutes. Your staff member opens the Guardian interface on their phone, logs the item, attaches a tamper-evident seal, and confirms. Collection is the same — the customer presents their PIN, your staff member verifies and releases. No specialist training required and no additional equipment beyond a smartphone.
What if something goes wrong with a bag?
Every booking is covered by TBH Bag Protection. If a customer raises a damage or loss claim, TBH handles the dispute process directly — you're not left to manage it alone. The tamper-evident seal and photo taken at drop-off establish the item's condition at acceptance. As long as you follow the standard process, you're protected.
Can I set my own hours and capacity?
Yes. Your Guardian listing reflects your actual opening hours. You only accept bookings during the times you choose, and you can set a maximum daily capacity. If you need to close for a day or reduce capacity temporarily, you can update your availability through the Guardian interface at any time.
How and when do I get paid?
Guardians receive 70% of every booking fee, paid out on a regular schedule. You'll receive a statement showing every booking and payment. Payment details are set up during onboarding. There are no minimum thresholds to reach before a payment is made.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
No long-term contract and no minimum commitment. You can pause or leave the network at any time. TBH asks for reasonable notice so any existing bookings can be honoured or reassigned — but there are no penalties for leaving.
