Fraud and Impersonation Warnings

The Bag Hotel does not offer investment services, and we will never ask you for banking information, passwords, or payment to "activate" a Guardian account, release a payout, or unlock storage credits.

About your PIN: if you receive a PIN by text message for a drop-off or collection, that code is yours alone. The Bag Hotel and our Guardians will never ask you to read it back, forward it, or "confirm" it over message or phone.

Official communication from The Bag Hotel only comes from a @thebaghotel.com email address or through thebaghotel.com directly. If a Guardian or TBH team member contacts you on WhatsApp or by text about an existing booking, that's normal — but we will never reach out first, unprompted, on a messaging app to solicit new business or payment.

If someone claiming to represent The Bag Hotel asks you to move a conversation off email, send money to "verify" or "activate" anything, or share banking details, treat it with extreme skepticism — and don't send payment or personal information.

To verify whether a message, account, or website claiming to be The Bag Hotel is genuine, or to report suspected impersonation, email safety@thebaghotel.com with a screenshot and any relevant links.

If you believe you've been the victim of fraud, please report it to your local police or national fraud/cybercrime reporting agency. In the US, you can also file a report with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov.
