TBH-Specific Data Practices

(https://thebaghotel.com/policies/privacy-policy), which covers standard data collection and processing practices for our Shopify-powered store. The sections below describe data practices specific to The Bag Hotel platform that are not covered by the standard policy.
Both documents form part of TBH's overall privacy framework. If there is a conflict between this page and the main Privacy Policy, the main Privacy Policy controls with respect to standard e-commerce data handling; this page controls with respect to the TBH-specific practices described below.
GUARDIAN NETWORK — DATA SHARING WITH GUARDIANS
When you make a storage booking through TBH, we share relevant personal information with the Guardian at whose location your item will be stored. This sharing is necessary to fulfil your booking and to allow the Guardian to verify your identity at drop-off and collection.
Information shared with Guardians may include:
- Your first name
- Your booking reference and PIN
- The number, type, and declared weight of items in your booking
- The duration of your booking (drop-off date and expected collection date)
- Contact details, where needed to resolve an issue with your stored item
Guardians are independent businesses and are not employees or agents of The Bag Hotel, LLC. They are permitted to use your information only to fulfil your booking and are not authorised to use it for their own marketing or to share it with third parties.

TBH INSIDER PROGRAMME — NOMINEE DATA
If you participate in the TBH Insider programme, you may submit information about a business you wish to nominate to the Guardian network. This information may include the business's trading name, address, phone number, and the name of a contact at that business ("nominee data").
Nominee data is information about a third party — the nominated business — submitted to us by the Insider, not directly by the nominee itself.
How we use nominee data:
- To assess whether the nominated business is a suitable fit for the Guardian network
- To contact the nominated business to invite them to apply to become a Guardian
- Nominee data is not used to market to the nominated business for any purpose other than the Guardian network invitation
- Nominee data is not shared with third parties for their own purposes
Retention: Nominee data is retained for no longer than 24 months from the date of submission, unless the nominated business has in the meantime made independent contact with TBH and consented to further use of their information.
