Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy explains TBH's role — and limits — regarding shipping and carrier services in connection with the Services.

1. TBH Does Not Ship Items

The Bag Hotel, LLC ("TBH") does not itself transport, ship, or deliver items. TBH operates a platform and Guardian network for storage, check-in, night safe, toolshed, and fulfillment services. Any shipping or courier service involved in your use of the Services is arranged, selected, and paid for directly by you (the item's owner) or by a third-party carrier of your choosing, not by TBH.

2. Fulfillment by TBH — Inbound Packages

If you use a Fulfillment by TBH tier that involves a Guardian receiving inbound packages on your behalf, the Guardian will hold the package securely for your collection, in the same manner as a Storage transaction. TBH and the Guardian are not responsible for the shipping carrier's delivery timeline, tracking accuracy, or condition of the package upon arrival — these are governed by your agreement with the carrier you or your sender selected, not by TBH.

3. Fulfillment by TBH — Outbound Handoff

If you use a Fulfillment by TBH tier that involves a Guardian preparing your item for outbound courier pickup, the Guardian's role is limited to holding and handing off the item to the carrier you have arranged. You are responsible for booking the courier, providing correct shipping labels or documentation, and any costs associated with the shipment. TBH and the Guardian are not responsible for the carrier's delivery timeline, loss, or damage once the item has been collected by the carrier from the Guardian.

4. Bag Protection Does Not Cover In-Transit Loss

Bag Protection, as described in our Terms of Service and Dispute Resolution & Claims Policy, covers items while in a Guardian's custody. It does not cover loss or damage that occurs once an item has been handed to a shipping carrier and is in transit, as TBH and Guardians no longer have custody of the item at that point. Claims for in-transit loss or damage should be directed to the relevant carrier.

5. Customs, Duties, and International Shipments

If your shipment crosses an international border, you are solely responsible for any customs declarations, duties, taxes, or import fees. TBH is not responsible for shipments delayed, held, or returned due to customs processing.
